Synopsis of the Series

The world where the Hero and the Demon King continue to oppose each other. The grand magic from the Hero and the Demon King cross over worlds and exploded in the classroom of a certain high school.

The students who died in the explosion will be reincarnated in a different world. The protagonist, who has the lowest reputation in the class, was reincarnated into a spider. Nevertheless, she adapted quickly to the present condition with strong willpower.

This is a story of the girl who has become a spider trying whatever she can to live.

My Review of the Series

Another isekai series that has both action and humor and deserves our attention is Kumo Desu Ga, Nani Ka. This is an exquisite piece of literature to read if you need something full bodied to binge.

“Kumoko” is what we call the nameless main protagonist of Kumo Desu Ga, Nani Ka?  This high school girl is reincarnated in another world in the body of a spider monster, the weakest monster, in the largest, most dangerous dungeon known to man: The Great Elroe Labyrinth. Her life in the labyrinth is fraught with danger, forcing her to constantly fight and become stronger in order to survive. Just like a typical isekai, she fights, eats, levels up, and evolves constantly over a two year period until she becomes her an Arachne and meets Ariel, the first of the spiders basically. Although enemies at first, they are forced into a cease-fire when both realize that neither one of them can kill the other. Afterwards, Kumoko journeys with her companions Ariel, Sophia, Wrath, and Merazophis to the Demon Territory.

This series is a light novel first and then a manga. If you want to read the manga or light novel, a link will be provided below. Currently, the manga is far behind the novel, but there’s a good amount of chapters in the manga now for a nice day of reading.

If you’ve read the reincarnated into a slime manga already, don’t expect this series to be just like that. This series is slow, intelligent, and holds a very humorous tone incorporating various other manga and pop culture references that make you chuckle.

For this Manga Review of Kumo Desu Ga, Nani Ka?

My score for this series: 8.75/10

“Reincarnated as a Slime” as a comparison: 8.5/10
